About the event
Everything happens for a reason! All behaviors occur to gain or escape an environmental variable. Caregivers, including educators and parents, can support each child’s unique developmental trajectory by understanding the functions of their behaviors. During this workshop, participants will actively engage in identifying the antecedents and consequences of behaviors which will be used to hypothesize the function of behaviors. Once the function of a behavior is identified, we can work collaboratively to improve socially significant behaviors across early childhood learning environments. A strengths based and individualized approach to skill development will be highlighted.
This course is designed for parents, behavior techncicians, BCBAs, educators, early intervention specialists, daycare teachers, grandparents, and anyone interested in the field of developmentally appropriate behavior modification.
*Completion of this course will and the final assessment will result in continuing education credits through the Behavior Analysis Certification Board and MiRegistry for those who qualify.
